Hamburg

Logistics

Match made in Hamburg – with its international network, the Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg in the heart of the Speicherstadt brings together start-ups, companies and investors as well as research and education. This allows it to create digital approaches and establish innovative cooperation partnerships for the logistics of the future.

The Logistics Hub Hamburg is one of the most important centres for digital process, product and business model innovations for the logistics industry in Germany and Europe. Market leaders, SMEs and starts-ups are networked within the Hub alongside science, research and further education. What's more, the Hub's various innovation programmes show how matchmaking made in Hamburg is done: with event formats such as Hub Day, Fast Mover, Match Machine, Cornern, MeetHubs and the CollabDays for companies, innovations are accelerated, solutions developed, companies and start-ups within the industry networked and interesting ideas promoted. The Hub thus consolidates both Hamburg's and Germany's leading position in the global competition involving digital logistics centres and leading commercial cities.

NautilusLog

Logbooks in shipping have been kept by hand since the 17th century. The Hamburg-based start-up NautilusLog wants to change this with its digital, smart logbooks. The German Institute for Standardisation (DIN) has got together with NautilusLog to create a new national standard for digital logbooks, which is currently being translated into an international standard.

ANGEL bringt's

ANGEL bringt's is a delivery service for same-day and preferred deliveries. The Digital Logistics Hub Hamburg is home to the start-up and has launched various pilot projects. It helps ANGEL with expertise in growth areas and provides support with its network in the logistics location of Hamburg.

Innovation Programs of the Hub

Fast Mover

The Fast Mover programme gives start-ups and innovators the opportunity to get their idea off the ground around previously defined topics such as ‘Green Logistics’ with instant injections of capital. The programme is held once a year in the week running up to Easter and culminates in a final where prize money of €9,000 is awarded. The jury is also made up of companies and investors who can increase this sum even further.

MeetHub

How can start-ups help social enterprises with their logistics problems? Which marketing and communication concepts are the right ones for a certain project? Start-ups and Hub partners can simply bring these and other matters along to the MeetHub of the Logistics Hub Hamburg and use the Hub's network to solve their problems and examine their ideas in a kind of mini bar camp.

Match Machine

The Match Machine is the Logistics Hub Hamburg's patented networking game for start-ups and companies. Taking a playful approach to finding out whether people are compatible on both a business and personal level increases the chances of a joint pilot project being a success. Match made in heaven or let’s stay friends – the Match Machine is straightforward, fun and can even be played in the lunch break.
